Company
Pyrol AB's Business Concept is Analytical Pyrolysis of complex samples. The company works with development and sales of sophisticated Pyrolysis Equipment, consulting and courses and is pioneering in this field. Pyrol AB takes active part in seminars, conferences and exhibitions all over the world. Pyrol AB is a well-known actor and Dr. Inger Ericsson, the founder of the company, is a well-known author and lecturer.
Pyrol AB was established as a family business in 1983 and is situated in Lund, Sweden. It is based on the research of Dr. Inger Ericsson in her striving to develop a powerful technique for analysis of complex samples. The principle of the company's main product - The Filament Pulse Pyrolyzer - was introduced by her as early as 1973 while working at the University of Lund. Since then this technique has been continuously improved and the latest developments now available are:
- the Pyrola® 2000, see figure.
- the Pyrola® 2000 MultiMatic, see figure.
The Pyrola® Pyrolyzers work in combination with Gas Chromatography (GC), and are often also complemented by Mass Spectrometry (MS) and sometimes chemometrics, which makes the techniques much more powerful than traditional techniques. Users can be found in a number of laboratories for research, development and quality control working with aviation, cars, paper, textiles, packaging, glue, paint, polymers, medical device, forensic studies and more.
Pyrol AB offers both manual and automatic versions of Pyrolyzers. The principles and the possibilities to choose pyrolysis programs are equal. Regarding Pyrola® 2000 MultiMatic it is also possible to vary the Pyrolysis methods individually probe by probe. The flexibility of the Pyrola® 2000 program is unique. Pyrola® 2000 MultiMatic appears in one version with 1+6, and one with 1+14 probes.
Pyrola® 2000 is unique regarding the possibilities to choose Pyrolysis methods and conditions. Program for isothermal, fractionated, sequential pyrolysis and pyrotomy can be chosen in the interval 50-1400 °C. Thermal desorption can precede all the programs.
